A. How to record my gameplay (in LF2 v2.0)?

To record your gameplay, you have to you have to turn on recording feature first.
Below are the steps:



1. Start LF2 and choose "Recording info" at the main menu
If you cannot see "Recording info" at your main menu, your LF2 is probably at a older version.
Please go to this page to download the latest verion of LF2.


2. Type "Your name" and "More info" (these info will be shown when others replaying your recording)
3. You may also type "E-mail" if you want to participate in our competition. Your email will not be shown when replaying. It will only be used in competition. (In case you win in our competition, we will contact you thru your e-mail.)


4. Check the
"Turn on recording" box
5. Click "ok"

Now, recording feature is on and each of your gameplay will be recorded automatically.

Below is an example:



1. Start LF2 and choose "Game start" at the main menu


2. After the loading screen, start a game by choosing any game mode.


3. When the game starts, there is message appeared at the bottom left corner of the screen telling that recording is started and the recording filename to be saved.


4. When the game ends, this message appears telling that the recording is done.


5. However, if the game is not finished and quited in the middle (by pressing F4). The recording will be canceled and this message will be shown.


B. How to playback a Recording?


1. Choose "Game start" at the main menu


2. After the loading screen, choosing "Playback Recording"


3. Select a recording and click "Open"


4. Recording will be played. In the screen, you will see...
a. Author's info (without e-mail)
b. Game mode and difficult
c. Game time
d. Control keys - teach you how to fast forward, pause, move the camera and quit


C. How to manage recording files?


1. Restart LF2, choose "Recording info" at the main menu


2. Choose "Open the recording files saving folder


3. A folder will be opened with all the recording files inside. You can share your recording to your friends by sending those files to them.


4. Also, in this folder, there is a little tool "lfr_summary_generator.exe".


By running it, you can generate a summary (lfr_summary.csv) for all of your recording files. The summary file can help you compare the results of all the recording files without having to replay all the them one by one.

The summary file can be open by some spreadsheet editor such as Excel or Google Spreadsheets.
